An epic battle between spammers and my IP-banning. Because I don't have better things to do with my time...

I wonder how smart their spamming software is. Perhaps it can be thwarted by simply changing the URL of the comment CGI.

Makes me wonder how these dorkwads go about finding MT journals to spam.

Wil Wheaton's got a plugin (or hack?) where you have to enter the correct number (from an image) to add a comment. If renaming the CGI doesn't work, that may not be a bad move if you don't mind giving posters a minor annoyance.
