I inadvertently donned a pair of reverse "burnsides." You can clearly see where my helmet's strap shielded part of my cheek and where the high collar of my biking jacket protected some of my neck. The result was dubbed by my friends as "Blaine's warpaint." Cracks about me "earning my stripes" were also made.
