Or more accurately: less than 35 hours. Prepare your wallets.

100 days of downtime

Paul Vixie is one of my heros, and not just because of his work on BIND, rtty, cron and other software, his RFCs, his formation of the ISC and MAPS, or for helping form the Palo Alto Internet Exchange (PAIX, now owned by Switch & Data, acronym now butchered).

(y'know, i'd pay Real Money for Adobe Acrobat Professional for SuSE 9.1/amd64, by which i could scan-convert PDF files instead of typing in stuff by hand -- my win32 laptop has more than 70 days of downtime and i'm going for 3 digits.)

IDS my BeerQuest

There's not much that's cooler than configuring IDSs after judging a beer recipe competition. Especially when everything works right, on the first try. Woot, I say. Woot. I need work with a slightly "cloudy" head more often (beer genre was "wheat", har har).

I know I haven't been very "verbose" lately. I have tons of material just waiting to be polished and published, I promise (unintentional alliteration, I promi...I swear). I'm working under a few fairly heavy deadlines right now, but once I'm in the clear, I'm letting you have it, both barrels.
